The proposed project undertakes the responsibility of suggesting a redevelopment of the former industrial area that, in respect of the architectural and historical characteristics of the structures, is capable of benefiting the entire neighborhood. It envisions a small city within the city where research activities, markets, retail businesses, and cultural initiatives, particularly focused on promoting the culinary and cultural heritage of Puglia region, serve as instruments to ensure a well-balanced functional mix throughout the day. Thus, the Manifattura becomes the engine driving a revitalization process for the entire neighborhood, capable of triggering new economies by attracting forms of conscious tourism.
